Looking for a Personal Tour of Reykjavik?
When you arrive in Reykjavik you obviously want to see all that the capital has to offfer, and the obvious decision is to take one of the city tours. There are a few to choose from but they are all pretty much the same, taking you on a whirlwind bus trip aroud the usual tourist traps. But how about doing something different?
If you're looking for a non-touristy approach to taking in the sights, Then, When In Reykjavik... should be your first port of call. Run by Arnar Pétursson (if you know of the band Mammút, you might have heard of him before) who will personally show you around from a local's point of view, you will get the chance to see the real Reykjavik.
There are three different tours; The Amazing Day Tour, The Crazy Night Tour and for those who enjoy some exercise, The Midnight Hike Tour, which takes you on a hiking path up mount Esja.
Not only do you have your own personal guide but a meal and drinks is included and held in a traditional Icelandic home, all for a very reasonable cost.
So if you're looking for an alternative way to see Reykjavik, head over to the When In Reykjavik... website for more information:
